Take the following steps to calibrate the Fargo DTC4500e ribbon sensor:
Go to your printers and faxes folder, right click on the DTC4500e and choose Printing Preferences.
Click on the Tool box tab
Once the Tool Box opens, click on the Calibrate Ribbon tab, read the instructions, and then click the Calibrate tab
Take the following steps to print a self test- Fargo DTC4500e
Press the right menu button
Use the left button to scroll down to Test Prints
Press the right button to select Test Prints
Scroll Down to Alignment and then press the right button
Take the following steps to run a cleaning cycle on your DTC1000ME:
Go to your printers and faxes folder. Right click on the Fargo DTC1000ME and click printing preferences.
Click on the tool box tab
Click on the clean printer tab and follow the instructions
Remove the ribbon and close the door
Press the right button
Use the left button to scroll down to Toolbox and then press the right button
Use the left arrow to scroll down to Calibrate Ribbon Sensor and the press the right button
Go to your printers and faxes folder. Right click on the Fargo DTC300 and click printing preferences.
Click on the Clean Printer tab
Read the instructions and then click on the clean tab
You can resolve the issue by taking the following steps:
Go to your printers and faxes folder. Right click on the DTC4000 printer and choose printing preferences. Then click on the Toolbox tab
Click on the Advanced Settings Tab. Change the Resin Heat Adjustment to 0.
Click apply to save the setting
Take the following steps to calibrate the Fargo DTC1000Me ribbon sensor:
Go to your printers and faxes folder, right click on theDTC1000Me and choose Printing Preferences.
Click on the Tool box tab
Once the Tool Box opens, click on the Calibrate Ribbon tab, read the instructions, and then click the Calibrate tab
Remove the ribbon and close the door
Press the right button
Use the left button to scroll down to Toolbox and then press the right button
Use the left arrow to scroll down to Calibrate Ribbon Sensor and the press the right button
Take the following steps to run a Self Test on a Fargo DTC550 printer:
Press the menu button on the front panel of the printer
Select Print Test Image
Choose gray align test and an alignment card will be printed
Take the following steps if you are experiencing card jamming with your Fargo DTC4500e :
Run a self test from the printer to eliminate your software, driver, or computer
Run a cleaning cycle
Make sure that your cards are within spec
Try different cards
Manually clean the rollers
Make sure that your card size is selected properly in the driver (CR-79 or CR80)
Update the printer driver and firmware to the latest on Fargo’s website
Plug the printer directly into a wall socket as in our experience surge protectors can cause different issues with badge printers.
Go to your printers and faxes folder. Right click on the Fargo C30 and click printing preferences.
Click on the Clean Printer tab
Read the instructions and then click on the clean tab
